The morning was peaceful, silent, until —a knock disturbs it.

That knock — made both the people stir from their sleeps, maya was the first to sit up half asleep, and getting up, with her small little - steps, she opens the door...

The person standing in-front of maya - was looking at her in shock

She was her mother-in-law, Sumita Rathore.

SUMITA - Y-you.. how the hell, did you get inside the mansion?? 

Maya was half asleep but — still able to get confused with sumita's words..

" Is there any problem for you with her??"

A voice from maya's behind interrupted them, it was khushaal .

SUMITA - After creating a mess in my house, she has the audacity to come here again!?

KHUSHAAL - Really!? *raised eyebrows*

Khushaal came forward and faced his mother, while — sumita was scared but not showing in her face..

KHUSHAAL - How many times.. should I tell you Mrs. Rathore's that, you have lost the chance of being hukum's biwi and to maintain the ethics of Rathore's.. hmm?!

Sumita was fuming, as she knew, she is not having the place, the respect, the title that she has to be but —now, given to maya. 

This is the biggest reason for her being jealous of her own daughter-in-law. 

SUMITA - But I have not lost the title of being her mother, right? She should be guilty about what she had done previously.. Only because of you, she is being terrible to us! Nobody likes her here, except your grandmother and your younger brother! *Irritating voice*

Khushaal was controlling himself, while — maya was scared and clutching on his edge of the T-shirt tightly. 

MAYA - I-I a..am s-sorry...

SUMITA - You should be! 

KHUSHAAL - ENOUGH!!!! GET LOST FROM HERE!

Khushaal's voice made both the women's flinch and sumita walk off as fast as she could, she knew he would definitely kill her with his words..  

Khushaal sighed and turned to find maya facing downward and sobbing sound was coming.

She was crying..

Khushaal cups her face — her eyes were red , nose red , cheeks were full of tears , lips trembling..

Khushaal kisses her forehead to call her down and hugs her tightly while Maya wraps her hands around his torso.

For some time , they both were like that position only.. until— Maya was calm down .

Khushaal picks her up in bridal style , maya looks at him — her eyes are widen , khushaal winks at her and smirks and takes to bed.

He made her lay down on the bed and tuck her with a blanket..

KHUSHAAL - You don't need to mind her words hmm.. just relax..

MAYA - But she was r-right.. I guess..

Khushaal looks at her for seconds, while maya, clutches over her blanket and moves it over her nose, her eyes are visible now— blinking cutely..

Khushaal chuckles at her action and sits beside her..

KHUSHAAL - No you didn't.. afterall, your stepmom provoked you and you did right but showing her, her place..

Be like that only little rabbit— never give anyone so much control on you that, they will take advantage of you.

Show them their right place!

He patted her head , and moved to the bathroom..

MAYA - *whisper* I will..

Some time later..

Maya was sleeping , but— she stir in her sleep and at the end, she sit up on the bed and yawn..

She looks around and finds khushaal getting ready for his office.

Khushaal looks at her and smiles back then, maya tilt her head a little and blink her eyes.

MAYA - Are you going to the office grandpa??

As maya mentioned khushaal as “grandpa” .. literally made khushaal chokes in his throat!

KHUSHAAL - W-what did you just call me... GRANDPA!!!

Maya nods cutely..

MAYA - You call me rabbit, so... I gave you the nickname grandpa hehe..

She smiles showing her teeth..

Khushaal was looking at her raising his eyebrows and nods in a denial direction..

Khushaal takes his essentials and leaves the room .

Maya looks at him which faces his back and pout sadly..

MAYA - Did I say something wrong!?

🥀___KHUSHAAL'S POV___🥀

She literally called me by a nickname!

"GRANDPA!"

Seriously little rabbit!?

All the way before reaching the office , my mind was surrounded by her nickname..

“Do I look like a grandpa?”

I ask myself..

After reaching the office, I went to my cabin and opened my laptop and my files and started working to distract myself from the earlier incident.

After some minutes passed..

Eklavya came to my cabin, he sit on the chair — he was tired as fuck because he was handling all the meetings where else, I was sorting out my and my biwi's problem.

“ how was the meeting with shekhawats?”

I asked him..

EKLAVYA - *sigh* terrible.. that old man and his sons , they can't do a single thing perfectly.. but at last, the deal is final..

“ good job! ”

I praised him..

“ I have to do a reception ceremony , send an invitation to all the parties , tomorrow is the reception!”

I told him and — get up from my seat and walk further and stand facing the window, which was showing the beautiful view of the busy world.

EKLAVYA - kya bhaiii! Ek or kaam kisi or se karwa lo...

Me bhabhi se aapki shikayat laga dunga..

( Why brother.. one more task tell someone else to do.. I will complain about you to my sister-in-law..)

“ go ahead , let's see whose side she will take..” *smirk*

I said and a smirk automatically came to my lips..

EKLAVYA - Yeah yeah..

For a few seconds , everything was silent.. but then..

BHABHI MAA!!!

Eklavya's voice was so loud that I had to place my palm over my ears to not get deaf.. huff..!

I turned around and I was shook..

Maya was standing near the door , wearing a silk saree, bangles, nuptial chain and vermillion— which I made her wear during our marriage rituals .

And holding a bag —more like a tiffin bag.

She was looking entirely gorgeous! She is the beauty that my eyes always praise and worship.

(Her look)

[Imagine she is wearing red bangles and nuptial chain and vermillion, as I can't find one 🫠]

EKLAVYA - Bhaii ab kab tak bhabhi maa ko asehi taadte rahoge ??

(Brother, how long will you keep looking at sister-in-law like this?)

Eklavya's voice once again disturbed me and looks at him and roll my eyes and moves towards my biwi.

She was observing the new place , I hold her hands and walks towards my chair and make her sit there.

She was confused and blinking continuously — which was cute.

I chuckled and patted her cheek .

“ This is your husband's place automatically your place too , if you ever come here.. sit here , like a queen! Because you are one.”

MAYA - H-how.. I mean there is no king.. so how am I a queen?

EKLAVYA - bhabhi maa you are so innocent, your husband is the king!

Almost all the world knows him.. you are hukum's biwi and he is the hukum! Every single person kneels towards him and your husband kneels towards you..! You are the queen bhabhi maa..

Eklavya told her and she looks at me for some time and then looks at Eklavya and tilt her head ..

MAYA - I don't understand what you said bhaiya..

I chuckled and Eklavya sigh

“ Who told you to come here?”

I changed the topic , and asked her why she came?

MAYA - W-wo.. Dadi ne bola ki me aapke office jau, i-isiliye me aai.. or haan yeh khana aap dono ke liye.

( T-that.. grandma told me to go to your office, that's why I came here.. and here is the food for both of you.)

EKLAVYA - Kis Khushi me bhabhi?

( In what happiness, sister-in-law?)

Even I looked at her when eklavya asked her , she was hesitating and clutching her saree's edge..

While that idiot brother of mine was opening the boxes one by one — there were so many varieties of delicious food and my brother takes the first bite.

EKLAVYA - mhmm.. it's so delicious bhabhi.. after so many months later, I was eating chole ki sabje.

He was busy eating and he was right about the food it is delicious, but— maya was still in some sort of confusion..

I placed my hand over her hand to reassure her .

“ did you make the food?”

MAYA - Yess!

I smiled and patted her head , after hearing that she had made the food Eklavya was on the ninth cloud —as he finds the food delicious.

After all he is my younger brother, we both chuckled at his childish behaviour.

EKLAVYA - Bhabhi you didn't tell us about sudden food making and all..?

MAYA - That I thought hukum is angry with me.. t-that out of nowhere I called him "grandpa" as a nickname..

Maya's statement got Eklavya laugh out loud and I was stuck at the word "hukum" , she called me hukum which she doesn't have too..

EKLAVYA - Bhabhi maa , you were right though, he is getting older..

*Laughs loudly*

I give deadly glares to Eklavya and he notices it , and takes the food and goes out of the cabin .

MAYA - Why did he go out like this?

“ nothing babygirl , he is an idiot don't mind him”

We both sit on the couch and she was looking at the place taking interest in the view..

And — I was looking at her , she is my view which I love to stare at all the time.

MAYA - um.. shall we go outside to eat something? H-hukum?

“ firstly , don't call me hukum biwi, you are my wife you can call me by my name ”

MAYA - B-but isn't it bad to call your husband by name?

“ no , it's not and you are not allowed to call me hukum that's for others, you will call me by my name only !”

She nodded positively and we both went out to eat something in the demand of my wife.

We arrived at the stalls area , there were many varieties of street food and maya loved it.

Like a child — she holds my hand and runs towards the stalls food which she likes and eats , this was the time , she was comfortable and freely did what she craves .

I was smiling while she was eating and roaming here and there like a child .

The childhood which was destroyed was appearing and I was loving it, she made me taste the food too.

We spent almost two lovely hours together.

At last — I was waiting for her to complete eating her dahipuri which is her favorite , she eaten two plates already and that's her third one.

“ it's done?”

“yeshhh!” *cheeky smiles*  she said cutely .

Her Childish behaviour is what I crave now, I will — never let that die in her and will fulfill her all craving that she lasts..

After that we were walking together..

I got a call but was unable to interact , I told maya to wait for me and went to the other side to attend the call..

Meanwhile— a loud thumped sound and people were surrounded at the centre ..

I looked at the place where I told my maya to wait for me.. she was not there..

I panicked and walked towards the accident area , blood was flowing , my eyes roamed in fear..

A car accident — two people were unconscious , but maya was not there..

“ where did you go maya!?”
