My gaze was down while saying this.. a few seconds everything was silent..

I look up and maya stops crying , tears were on her cheeks , red eyes , red nose , plumy lips — she looks cute .

We made eye contact but she broke it and then her words shook me up ..

MAYA - That will be better.. I w-want d..divorce from you!

" as you say.. my biwi ! "

I said , as I have nothing left to say to her..

CAR ROARING...!!!!

My mind was stuck..!

S..she as..asked for d-divorce!!?

How can she?? Was I that much bad??

I will kill each person.. whoever told maya about her being sold to me..!!

🥀___MAYA'S POV___🥀

AKSHITA - ARE YOU MADDD!!!???WHO TOLD YOU TO SAY SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS?? THIS IS NOT A JOKE MAYA MALHOTRA!!

Akshita is mad at me — for what I did..

Even — I don't know , I asked him to divorce me.. not knowing — what will happen to me afterwards..

" I was angry with him.. how could he do this to me and didn't tell me.."

Sobs...

AKSHITA - *sigh* listen.. maya.. He did wrong by hurting you by not telling you the truth cause, he didn't want you to get hurt.. He married you , just to get you , love you, care for you..! So , how could he be wrong?? You are not sold baby..

I give her a side look..

She is not totally wrong — she is right but, now what?

He was regretting , but — I made it a big deal , I took the decision impulsively..

" what should I do now??" *whisper *

AKSHITA - Now , just call him or go home and sort out your things! You already messed up very well maya.

Again! I give her the side looks , she was taunting me as — I am the one only wrong here huh..

" are you taunting me? Look — let me finish this mess then, I will deal with you huh.."

I said to her —while glaring at her deadly .

She gives me a boring look.. because we don't really care about each other's threat , cause we know, in the moment we both needed each other.

🥀___AUTHOR'S POV___🥀

A loud and disturbing sound of the door getting open echoed...

The air was silent , saying something is going to happen which nobody knows..

The sharp and clean sound of shoes was the only thing which was heard , a man wearing it — he got inside the area.

Devilished hairs , eyes red , shirt was messed up , two buttons of his shirt were opened , his eyes were finding someone.. he was none other than khushaal rathore !

His hand was holding a gun — looking for the person and right away to shoot him .

He walks towards the hall right after two more men get inside the house and they are —ekansh and abhimaan.

EKANSH - Aaj pakka kisi ki maut aayi hai .

( Today is someone's last day.)

He murmurs at abhimaan ear's , and abhimaan gave him a side look , as he already knows what is going to happen tonight.

With that — they both follow Khushaal from behind , like his bodyguard.

Khushaal steps were fast enough to reach the other doors and he was , kicking each room's door to create noise.

At last — he reaches the bedroom door and kicks it , which makes the two sleeping people awake from their deep sleep..

They both got awake and — looking at khushaal fearfully .

Both were scared , but the old man speaks up more like shouting but— Khushaal doesn't care , his hold on his gun becomes tighter and his knuckles turn white.

Ekansh and abhimaan both were observing the scene .

" what do you think you are doing young man?? You have a wife , go to her "

The old man said , khushaal's anger was at its peak and he shoots at the side table making them flinch terribly.

KHUSHAAL - You two old bitches! This is your last night ..

" W-what ha..have we d-done to y-you??"

The woman on the other side said , she was none other than Maya's stepmother. And her father Akash Malhotra.

ABHIMAAN - Who told maya about her being sold to khushaal , you guys right!?

ANTARA - why would we be told her that? This will only create misunderstanding between us and our deals with Mr. Rathore..

EKANSH - Ohh really!? Then... Who is it?? Let me guess... Uhm.. your daughter? She is even jealous of maya though..

For a minute, there was pin drop silence in the room but then— a voice came from behind , making them all look behind .

Antara's face expression changes into fear — as , akira was standing there and khushaal was giving her deadly glare .

EKANSH - lo shaitaan ka naam liya or shaitaan hazir chuckled

( speak of the devil and she is present )

AKIRA - K-khushaal what are you doing here? Is everything alright?

AKASH - Did you told maya about being sold?? *Anger tone *

Akira's fear can be seen in her eyes , her body language was everything and khushaal got the hint .

AKIRA - w-wo.. i-i.. I didn't mean t-too say that..

Before akira could say anything, antara interrupts her , which fuels Khushaal's anger and he shoots three bullets at the roof ..

KHUSHAAL - I have enough of this drama and now, each one of you will face the consequences of hurting my wife and holding her the bullshit. Starting with you..

He points his finger at akira , her eyes widen in fear , she kneels down in front of him — asking for mercy..

But - khushaal was not in the mood of mercy , abhimaan and ekansh both were stopping him but , he didn't listen to anyone .

He pointed his gun at akira , his thumb was at the trigger , he was about to shoot her...

1... 2... 3... STOP IT...!!!

SHOOT..!!

The bullet hit the wall ..

Ekansh moved his hand at the other side to which the bullet hit the wall and akira is safe.

The three of them were scared , akira hurriedly moved and hugged her mother tightly..

The voice —which made the interruption was Maya's voice!

Khushaal's eyes widened in shock as Maya's eyes were looking at him in fear , both were processing..

Abhimaan cleared his throat..

ABHIMAAN - You guys should go outside, we will handle everything here..

Khushaal and Maya walk towards the garden , both were silent unable to think what to say..

Air was freezing touches Maya's soft skin giving her shiver — khushaal notice it and get his coat , which was inside the car and make maya wear it.

Maya didn't question him and smile gently at his care for her.

To break this awkward moment khushaal cleared his throat — which made maya attentive.

KHUSHAAL - H..how did you get to know that I was here??

MAYA - Your friend Ekansh bhaiya told me that you were here.. Now , don't question him about anything..

Khushaal nodded silently.

Maya takes deep breath and holds Khushaal's both palm and squeezes warmly and looks at him .

Khushaal was shocked at her actions but the spark between them makes his heartbeat faster , his anger cools down , he was loving this moment.

" I am sorry! "

Both of them said at the same time , making them chuckle .

Khushaal sighs and kneels down , Maya's eyes widen at his action

MAYA - W-what are you doing?

Khushaal looks at her lovingly and holds her tightly and kisses both of her back of the hand , showing his love to her.

KHUSHAAL - I don't know if , I am capable of your love and insecurity that you are facing.. trust me, I did this just to help you get out of this hell place. I.. I am willing to do everything, I will be your slave but don't, don't ever doubt me , my love.. it hurts me that you are hurt. If, you are happy in divorce, I am happy ! But please , don't ever hurt yourself, you are precious to me jaan!

The words touched Maya's heart , her eyes were filled with water and in no time tears came out of her eyes — flowing down her cheeks .

" I don't want a divorce!"

Maya said!

Khushaal's eyes were also filled with tears .

He stands up — the guilt , fear , nervousness surrounds them but — khushaal hugged maya ..

They share the moment !

This time maya even wrapped her arms around his waist , they felt the connection between them .

Every emotion, the beat of heartbeat, sharing each and everything and accepting their fault and the love for each other ..

Ekansh and abhimaan both were smiling looking at the couple from the distance.

FEW MINUTES LATER

Maya and khushaal were sitting at the back of the car and ekansh was driving where abhimaan was at the passenger seat .

They were heading to Akshita's place, they reached there , four of them got out of the car and —maya goes inside the house and took her luggage and placed it inside the car.

She bid her friend Akshita and four of them went to Rathore's mansion..

It was two in the morning , maya and Khushaal got inside their room .

Maya was looking at the room everything was misplaced during her absence and she knew , khushaal's anger was the main reason behind this...

KHUSHAAL - Uh.. I'll get this clean , don't worry !

Maya looks at khushaal and nods and goes to the washroom to freshen up .

While — khushaal folds his sleeves up and starts placing things at their place and cleaning up the mess he created .

One hour later , maya comes out of the washroom and the first thing she saw was everything was cleaned up .

She looks everywhere and didn't find the one she was looking for..

" hey "

She flinch..

She looks behind and finds khushaal there , she sighs in relief .

She moves towards the bed and sits there while — khushaal was walking at the couch side , maya frown ..

MAYA - Why are you going there?

KHUSHAAL - You are not comfortable so... I was..

Maya denied ..

" I am not now!"

She said , khushaal frown — he was about to say something but maya interrupts him..

MAYA - " from now on, sleep beside me"

Khushaal was smiling inside but couldn't show his excitement outside, he was loving the fact and the changes in maya.

He nods and goes at the other side of the bed and both of them lay down silently .

The awkwardness was killing both of them , but — they just face the other side and sigh , both of them were waiting to sleep to consume them .

And — maya was the one to consume sleep while khushaal was not able to sleep .

He turns to face maya and finds her sleep and chuckled , he moves his fingers on her face gently — as , she is sleeping on her back .

He was admiring the beauty she has , the innocence on her face , his eyes were being heavy and he also slept ..
